There are a hundred different reasons for me to tell the world that I no longer have the energy to care. There a thousand different ways in which I could show anyone interested in pain the way through and to the other side. The moment a heart is broken, the second a child believes in a dream, the chance an old man has to pick up that phone to call and say "i'm sorry, can you come over, can we talk?"
There are a million different reasons for me to tell the world that I have the energy to care. All I need is to see a mountain sunflower in bloom or mom who knows the end is closer than she is prepared for, and says anyway, "I love you."
We live long enough we get all of it: the joy, the love, the uplifting story of dreams, the sorrow of sudden loss, the knowing that age will take us down and somewhere between the dreams and the pain, is life, life that sprouts up past earth, through water and heart.
We are all in this experiment together. It is our responsibility to share our stories, our victories our defeats to ourselves, and to those we love. We get to, we must.
cheers,
nek
