I buried my husky lab a couple of weeks ago on the south side of our home. He went fast, giving all of us little time to prepare. I guess that's the way Bridger wanted things; to go out on top. We had twelve years together. We roamed more red canyons and alpine tundra than I can count. When i sit still long enough and remember specifics, how he'd smile at children on the side-walks, how he run and leap over twenty feet for the chance to snap at fluffy snow I would toss into the sky, if I sit long enough i cry my eyes out.

It takes more than one dog to teach us what it means to be human: giving, friendship and forgiveness. I lost a teacher and a best friend. I have gained insights and love. Thank you Wolf-dog.
