Amy and I celebrated our one year anniversary Sunday. We took our gift certificates to Ruth Chris. First time spending fifty dollars on a t-bone and a bottle of wine. Amy loved the generous portion of halibut. A twelve dollar cup of coffee with three liquors. We left smiling and full. The thing about my wife, not only is she beautiful, and smart and kind, she is tolerant of my rough-cut edge. Amy lets me make mistakes. She lets me be myself. What wonder there is in being this comfortable in the presence of another. Thank you, Amy, thank you, beautiful.
